I5 week of 28th through the 5th

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - "We're going to start off this week's list with some softball. More specifically we have this walk off win for the West Valley Wolfpack. Not only is one Wolfpack base-runner able to avoid the tag and advance, this also allows the game-ending run to score at home. West Valley was down 8-5 heading into this inning, but scored four runs to defeat their cross town rivals.
In our first bit of baseball action from this weekend, Lathrop first baseman Hunter Meredith stretches way out to force the runner out. Merideth was somehow able to keep his foot on base and collect what could have been a wild pass.
We are actually going to cheat a little bit and include two different Hutchison batters in this next spot. Ryan Young and Issac Roehl both bring home two runners with long hits to left field in the fifth and final inning. These are just two examples of the offensive firepower that Hutch showed in this contest against North Pole. They defeated the Patriots 15-3. Young finished the game with 4 RBIs while Roehl earned 3.
Next up we have the winner of the 2019 Chena River Run. Rick Lader won the 38th annual edition of this 5K and he also broke the 16 minute mark. Lader ran the 3.1 mile course in 15 minutes and 59 seconds to take the top overall spot.
And number one this week we have West Valley Soccer player Drew Rizk, who wins the game for the Wolfpack with this penalty kick. After Lathrop tied it up at two goals each, Rizk was put in this stressful spot and overcomes it, sinking this game-winner in the final minutes."
