I-5 for the week of March 24th - 31st

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Let's start the week off with a local player. Ice Dog Defenseman Trenton Woods takes a shot from deep inside the neutral zone and finds the back of the net to secure the win on Saturday night. This was Woods' second official goal of the weekend, and his third if you count his shootout goal in game two.
We now head to Friday Night's game where "The Lake Show" Laker Aldridge is able to knock the puck away and break free from the Kenai River Defense. He then dekes the goaltender before chipping this one in to the top shelf to put the Ice Dogs up on the board.
Next up we have Goaltender Mattias Sholl, who secured the win on Saturday Night in the regular season finale. Sholl spent 60 minutes in the crease and stopped all 24 shots he faced to secure the victory. That was Sholl's sixth shutout of the season and his 8th win in as many stays between the pipes.
We're actually going to showcase a Kenai River player for this next play. Brown Bear forward Trey LaBarge takes full advantage of his turn in the shootout, making it look like he's going from the left to the right before sneaking this one into the five-hole to knock in the game-winner for Kenai River. This was the second goal of the night for LaBarge.
And we close this week's I-5 out with another game winner. After both teams were scoreless in the opening period, the Ice Dogs scored the only goal they would have needed on Saturday night in the second. A wide open Matt Koethe takes the spinning pass from Luke Ciolli and fires a shot right past the goaltender's glove to secure the Ice Dog Victory in their Regular Season Finale.
