FAIRBANKS, Alaska - After a jam-packed week of Interior Sports action, it's time to look back at the top plays of the past seven days in the I-5.
We're gonna start off this week's I-5 with a little bit of basketball. In Eielson's contest against Nenana, DeAndre Ford is able to pull down a rebound and get the ball to his open teammate. Ford is then able to collect the pass in Mid Air and deliver this dunk. This was part of Eielson's 97-23 win over the Lynx.
We're gonna go to the Ice for the Number four play. In the North Pole Patriots' dominant 10-2 win over Monroe Catholic, senior Orin Peters is able to fire one from the faceoff circle right past the Rams goalie to light the lamp for the Patriots. This was Peters' first goal of his high school career.
Let's check in to the Joe T. Classic where Ella Roberts is able to knock down an ice cold three pointer right off of the in-bound pass. The Lathrop girls went 3-0, earning this year's Joe T. Classic Crown.
Next up we have Alaska Nanook junior skater Tyler Cline, who not only dishes this spinning pass to Colton Leiter, he then gets the puck back and delivers this goal for the Nooks. This was the first goal of the season for Cline, who helped guide the Nooks to a 4-1 upset over Bowling Green.
And the top spot for this week's list belongs to Ice Dog Forward Laker Aldridge. The puck gets knocked away but Aldridge is able to re-collect it and shoot right between two Chippewa Defenders, hitting the back of the Net. The Lake Show was on full display, finishing the weekend series with three goals.
