FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The opening weekend for Basketball and a massive upset from the State Wrestling Championships highlight this week's I-5.
Let's take a look at the top plays of the week now.

We're gonna start off this week's list with Aurora Conference Girls Basketball between Eielson and Galena. Galena's Pearl Green collects the pass at the arc and drives down the baseline, dishing a perfect bounce pass to Vivian Condello, who lays in two points for the Hawks.
Sticking to High School basketball for the #4 play, this one belonging to West Valley's Terrell Peter. After Ty Thomas suckers a defender in for a block, he feeds Peter on the three-point line, who drains the shot from there.
We head to high school hockey for play number three, this one from Monroe Catholic's Antonio Szumigala. Szumigala fires this one-timer from the Blue-line and is able to sneak this goal in through the five hole. This was part of last week's shootout between the Rams and their Conference Rival North Pole Patriots.
Back to the hardwood for play Number two, where Eielson's Christian Bolton is able to steal the ball on an attempted Galena Layup. He dishes the ball inside to Jaydenn Manibusen, but stays behind the arc. Manibusen then passes the ball back to Bolt for a picture perfect 3-pointer.
And number one on this week's list is a massive upset from the State Wrestling Championships. Lathrop's Jeremy Bockert was able to defeat South Anchorage's Adam Concepcion in the 103 pound weight class, winning by a score of 9-2. Concepcion was undefeated before this matchup, sitting at 40-0 before Bockert was able to defeat him for the State Championship
