FAIRBANKS, Alaska - We're gonna start this week's list off with a pair of high school Basketball plays, first up we have the West Valley girls, who travel the length of the court with time winding down. UAA Commit Ellen Silva collects a pass on the inside, steps back and sinks this one at the buzzer to put the Pack on the board.
That same night, the Eielson Ravens faced off against the Hutchison Hawks. Eielson's Christian Bolton is able to chase down an offensive rebound. He is able to walk the tight-rope and keep himself in bounds to get the ball to Matthew Scarboro, who nails a shot from the around free throw line.
We dive into the pool for play number three, this one belonging to Nanook swimmer Oda Bygdnes. The Norse Sophomore finished the 200 yard individual medley in 2 minutes and 10 seconds. She beat the next closest finisher by six seconds, claiming the crown in the 200 yard individual medley.
Next up we have the Nanook women's Basketball team where Ashlie Blackburn hurls a long pass to her classmate Emily Evans, who immediately drains a three point shot. Evans had a monster game for the Nooks on this night, leading the team with 17 points.
And number one for this week belongs to the Pack. More specifically, senior forward Trenton Spears. Spears drives with the Puck all the way from his side of the Ice, he fires a shot off which is saved, but he immediately tracks down the rebound and sneaks it in between the pipe and the goaltenders left leg to light the lamp. The Pack went on to win this game in a 6-4 effort.
