FAIRBANKS, Alaska - There was an Aurora Conference Hockey contest between the Hutchison Hawks and Monroe Catholic Rams last night at the UAF Patty Center.
For the second time this season, Hutch was victorious against the Rams, skating off with a 6-4 victory.
Hutchison set the tone early on with a 4-1 lead after the first period.
Monroe was able to make it a one-goal game by lighting the lamp twice at the start of the second period, but Hutch was able to keep their conference rivals at bay on their way to securing the win.
Landon Wheatley was the scoring leader for the Hawks, finishing the day with 2 goals and an assist.
Ryder Thompson, Sam Sattler, and Drake Berrian all finished the day with a goal and an assist.
Hutch Goalie Andrew Farmier earned 25 saves in his time between the pipes.
Despite the loss, Monroe Catholic saw an incredible performance by Caleb Sanborn, who scored all three goals for the Rams.
These two teams are scheduled to be off for the rest of the week and will pick the action back up next week.
Monroe will take on the North Pole Patriots in North Pole on December 11th, and Hutch will visit Tok on December 14th.
