Hutchison Flag Football wins rubber match against West Valley; Lathrop defeats North Pole

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - There were a pair of flag football games last night.
The West Valley Wolfpack hosted the Hutchison Hawks in their third matchup of the year.
Hutchison was able to come out on top this time around, defeating the Wolfpack 25-18.
West Valley got on the board first thanks to a run by Tana Weckworth.
Hutchison then scored with a touchdown pass from Hunter Taylor to Kenya Edwards.
They traded scores again with both teams finding the endzone one more time.
The deciding score was added by Hutchison, who secured the victory with an 86 yard touchdown run by Lauren Kohntopp.
Kohntopp scored twice on the ground for Hutch, while Taylor passed to Edwards for the other two.
This was a rubber match for these two teams, who traded wins earlier in the season.
They will play each other one more time on September 27th.
Out in North Pole, the Lathrop Malemutes defeated the Patriots 32-0.
Aniya Tuck was the scoring leader with two touchdown passes, and also earned one on the ground.
The Malemutes are now 4-1-1 against Interior teams and the Pats are still looking for their first win, sitting at 0-7 overall.
