Hockey Week in Fairbanks set to begin on February 1st

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Hockey Week in Fairbanks will officially kick off this weekend when the Fairbanks Ice Dogs host Corpus Christi.
Before the game starts on Friday, an Ice Sculpture dedication will be held outside the Big Dipper.
On Saturday, the Dipper will be hosting events all day, including the Celebrity Games and Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
Sunday will see three-on-three tournaments take place at the Dipper as well.
Monday night will be Hockey Night at HooDoo and the annual floor hockey game between the Alaska Nanooks and the Special Olympics hockey team will be taking place at the UAF Patty Center.
Throughout the week, judging will begin for the Backyard Rink competition and the Blood Bank of Alaska will be running their blood drive once again this year.
Next Friday is wear your jersey to school or work day, and will also see the beginning of this year's Governor's cup series between the Alaska Nanooks and the UAA Seawolves.
Hockey Week is set to once again be jam-packed with action centered around the Interior's favorite sport, and it all starts this Friday February first.
