The Hutchison Hawks and West Valley Wolfpack tennis teams were set to begin their Mid Alaska Conference match at 4pm Thursday, but they were delayed by two hours because of the rain.

Players and Parents from both teams helped dry the courts before the rescheduled start at 6pm.
The Rain then returned during the last match of the Duel so the Meet was suspended until 4:30pm today.
Also, The North Pole Patriots hosted the Lathrop Malemutes in North Pole's season opener.

Josef Schruf got two victories in the Dual Meet to lead the Patriots to a 4-3 victory.
Schruf beat Lathrop's Zach Greenberg 6-0 and 6-1 in the Boys #1 Singles Match and he also won the Boy's doubles matchup along with Ben Bjornstad 6-1 and 6-0.
North Pole got their other two victories from their Girls doubles team of Carly Donald and Sarah Beaver, who won 6-4 and 6-0.
Amber Stewart won by forfeit for North Pole in the Girl's Number 2 Singles.
Lathrop earned their wins thanks to Ashley Plys winning the Girl's #1 singles match in extra sets.
Luke Millam earned the win in the Boys Number two singles match and the Malemute Mixed Doubles team of Amara Hackett and Andrew West won it in extra sets.
The Patriots will take on the Hutchison Hawks next Tuesday and the Lathrop Malemutes get a bit of a break before taking on Hutch next Thursday.
