High School Fall sports begin this weekend

We all know by now that High School Football season starts this Friday, with the Eielson Ravens Taking on the West Valley Wolfpack out on Eielson Air Force Base and the Monroe Catholic Rams hosting the Redington Huskies at the Big Dipper Football Field.

However, the other Fall High School Sports are approaching just as quickly.

The High School Tennis Season will start Thursday with two different matchups between Interior squads.
The Lathrop Malemutes and Monroe Rams will go head to head at the Dan Ramras Community Tennis Courts at 4pm while the The North Pole Patriots will host the West Valley Wolfpack out at North Pole High School at 5pm.
That is the lone Tennis action this week but our Interior squads will pick back up next Tuesday the 15th when West Valley and Lathrop will play at the Dan Ramras Courts and Monroe will host the Hutchison Hawks on the Alaska Club Courts.

It is going to be a busy weekend as Cross Country Running season starts on Saturday, with the West Valley Invite on the West Ridge UAF trails.
The Boys and Girls Combined Freshman Race will start at 10am, no official results will be kept for that race.
The Girls race will then start at 10:30am and the Boys race at 11am.
Unattached runners will be allowed in that race, but no times will be recorded.
The first official race will be the All Schools meet out at the Chena Lakes Recreation Area on August 19th.
The JV starting at Noon and the Varsity at 12:45.

Swimming and Diving Season will start with the Lathrop Invitational at the Hamme Pool on August 25th at 6pm.
We aren't quite done with Fall sports yet as Volleyball will officially kick off on Tuesday August 22nd when the Hutchison Hawks will host the Eielson Ravens and the Monroe Catholic Rams will host the West Valley Wolfpack.

Lathrop will travel out to Eielson on Thursday the 24th, North Pole will host Hutchison and West Valley will travel down south to take on the Palmer Moose.

Fall Sports are finally going to be back very soon, and we can't wait to see what our interior teams can do this year.
