Grant "The Hitman" Ledford named Ice Dogs team captain

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Despite it being an off week, the Fairbanks Ice Dogs have been very busy.
First up, the Dogs announced their team captain for the rest this season.
"The Hitman" Grant Ledford will be wearing the C on his jersey for the rest of this year, taking the role as team leader on the ice.
Ledford has made his role of enforcer well-known, delivering hits and defending teammates all season long.
Ledford earned the honor through a team vote and he will be joined by Jack Johnston and Noah Wilson who were voted Alternate Captains.
The Dogs also announced their latest NCAA commitment earlier this week.
Jonathan Sorenson will be taking his talents to the University of Minnesota next season.
Sorenson has been the scoring leader for the Dogs this year, he currently has 36 points off of 11 goals and a team high 25 assists.
The Minnesota Golden Gophers are a division one program who play in the Big 10.
