Goldpanners win home opener

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - For the first time this year, the Alaska Goldpanners played in Growden Park.
The Panners were victorious by a large margin in their first home contest, defeating the Fairbanks Men's League 14-0. ​
Isaac Olson earned the win for the Goldpanners on the mound, pitching five scoreless innings. ​
On the offensive side of the plate, Derek Alumbaugh led the team with 4 RBIs off of three hits. ​
Griffin McCormick also finished the day with three hits, earning three RBIs in the process. ​
Next up for the Goldpanners will be their first home series of the season. ​
They will be playing the San Diego Waves for each of the next seven days starting tonight at Growden Park. ​
Most of these games will be starting at 7pm, except for Sunday the 16th which will be at 3pm. ​
