FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Goldpanners earned their second consecutive win over the San Diego waves last night, but this one wasn't as dramatic.
The Panners won 7-2.
This game was tied at one run each after four innings of play, before the bats came alive for the home team.
The Goldpanners earned the win thanks to three runs in the fifth inning, two in the seventh, and one more in the eighth.
Connor Konishi led the Goldpanners with two RBIs while Ben McKay also added one. Konishi also scored twice while Christian Jones crossed home plate twice as well in his first game as a Goldpanner.
Joe Riley earned the win on the mound, pitching five innings and only allowing four hits while striking out six batters.
The Panners and the Waves will finish their seven-game series tonight.
Action will resume on Thursday Night with a four game series against the Seattle Studs.
