Goldpanners capture another win in Canada

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - On Thursday, the Alaska Goldpanners came back from down five runs and got the walk-off win in the bottom of the ninth.

Alaska did not need to worry about rallying back Fridayy, as they handled the Edmonton Cubs 7-4 in a 7 inning contest.

Grant DeLappe, the hero of Thurday's walk-off victory, led the Panners at the plate once Friday. DeLappe crushed a 3-run home run in the fourth inning to inflate the Panners lead to 7-0, giving them all the cushion they needed the rest of the way.

Drew Necochea tossed a complete game for the Panners, sitting down seven batters.

Cole Carder added two hits and an RBI for Alaska, while Aaron Kim produced an RBI single.

The Goldpanners will continue pool play of the Kamloops Tournament Saturday, when they face the Everett Merchants at 6 p.m. AKDT.
