Goldpanners at Kamloops International Baseball Tournement

After three days of extra rest, The Alaska Goldpanners began their stay in the Kamloops international baseball tournament down in Kamloops British Columbia yesterday.
The Tournament's pool play round kicked off last night and the Goldpanners went head to head with the Hometown team the Kamloops Sun Devils.
Well it was not home sweet home for the Sun Devils as the Goldpanners were able to cruise to a 6-1 victory.
The Panners started off hot by putting two runs up on the board the first chance they had at bat.
They also kept the Devils off the board, not allowing them to score a run until the 8th inning.
Paul Kunst and Nick Ames led the Goldpanners at the plate.
Kunst earned 2 hits in his 4 turns at bat, scoring twice and also driving home two RBIs.
Ames earned two hits in 5 trips to the plate.
He also hit two RBIs.
Brandan Langan earned the win on the mound for the Panners.
He pitched 7 of the 9 innings and allowed six hits, but no runs.
He also struck out 4.
Nick Flesher pitched the final two innings for the Panners, he allowed one hit and one run.
He also struck one Sun Devil out.
The win brings the Panners to 1-0 thus far in the K-I-B-T and 19-5 on the year.
They will continue Pool Play today against the St. Albert Tigers.
