Fairbanks Ice Dogs split series with Janesville Jets

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Fairbanks Ice Dogs suffered a loss of their own on Saturday night, falling to the Janesville Jets in Wisconsin 4-3 in overtime.
The Dogs held a 3-1 lead in the second period before Janesville fought back to tie it up and force overtime, where the Dogs fell to their conference foes.
Jax Murray, Grant Ledford, and Jack Johnston provided the scores for the Dogs.
The loss brings the Ice Dogs to 18-11-3-2 this year.
They are tied with Janesville for second in the Midwest with 41 points.
For the first time since December 1st of 2018, the Ice Dogs will be playing at home this weekend.
They host the Springfield Jr. Blues this Friday and Saturday in the Big Dipper Ice Arena.
