Fairbanks Ice Dogs drop second NAHL Showcase Tournament game

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Fairbanks Ice Dogs had a very early morning for their game against the Minnesota Wilderness.
The puck dropped this morning at 7 o'clock Alaska Time.
The Dogs had another tough outing, falling in their second showcase tournament game 4-1.
The Wilderness scored in the first period, but the Dogs were able to tie it up at 1 with the only goal of the middle frame.
Things were looking bright until the Wilderness tacked on three unanswered goals in the third period to secure the victory.
Nigel Nelson scored the lone goal for the Ice Dogs while Tanner Edwards provided the assist.
Mattias Sholl spent 59 and a half minutes in goal and earned 29 saves.
The Dogs are now 0-3-1 to start off this year.
They will look for their first win of the season as showcase play continues down in Blaine Minnesota.
They will play Johnstown tomorrow and Minot on Saturday.
