FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Yukon Quest is now searching for a new executive director.
Natalie Haltrich has announced that she will be stepping away from the position of Executive Director on the Whitehorse side of the Race.
She held that position since 2015, but had been involved with the race for years before that.
She was a handler on the trail, a volunteer, and then the Checkpoint Manager at Carmacks in 2014 and 2015.
Haltrich is now on to her next adventure after leaving the job that she called one of the best experiences of her professional life.
The Quest will be looking to fill that vacant position effective immediately, hopefully before the race starts early next year.
The annual 1,000 mile race will be starting in Whitehorse in 2019 and will finish right here in Fairbanks.
The Quest starts on February 2nd.
