Eielson's football game against Redington Cancelled

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Before we dive into sports tonight we do have a change in the weekend football schedule to report.
The Eielson Ravens began to travel down to the Mat-Su Valley to play the Redington Huskies in a game that was scheduled to start at 7pm, but their bus broke down about 7 miles away from Talkeetna.
This turn of events rendered the game between the two Aurora Conference teams impossible to put on.
They are also unable to push the game to Saturday because they wouldn't be able to secure any referees or official coverage for a Saturday Contest.
So this will go down as a "No Game".
According to Eielson Head Coach David Devaughn, ASAA declared that if this contest ends up affecting playoff standings then Redington would take a forfeit.
The Ravens now have a bye week and will be back in action at home next Saturday against Homer.
