Eielson Football dominates in revenge game against Homer

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Eielson Raven Football team had a chance for revenge on Saturday and they took full advantage.
The Ravens defeated the Homer Mariners in a rematch from last year's playoffs, leaving Buck Nystrom Field with a 63-6 win.
Seemingly every member of the Ravens was able to score in this one.
The usual suspects led the way as Senior Running-backs Jaydenn Manibusen and Ryan Armour both accounted for over 100 yards on the ground and multiple scores.
Their classmate Collin Donahue also added six points on the ground while Quarterback Peyton Devaughn ran one in as well.
Devaughn was also able to score through the air, finding Tight End Brock Renson in the endzone twice.
Homer scored their lone touchdown of the game with a pass in the second quarter.
The Dirty Birds are now 3-1 overall this year while Homer falls to 0-5.
Homer was the team that ended Eielson's season last year, defeating them in the playoffs to advance to the State Championship game.
The Ravens have one more loss from last year to avenge as they host the Barrow Whalers this weekend.

Tight End Brick Renson: "Yeah we had some thoughts going in to this game. We wanted to avenge ourselves for last year. We didn't play as well against them last year, but this year we wanted to make a point. We were hungry. We didn't get to play a game, Redington cancelled on us. So we were really hungry to hit people and play football. That's just what we do."

Head Coach David DeVaungh: "It's good to see the offense clicking and the defense was doing a phenomenal job today too. It was just a great all around effort. All 11 guys were doing their job and trusting the guy next to them to do their job. They're starting to gel. They're starting to become that football family. When you do that and focus on those little things, the big things will take care of themselves."
