Dimond's Allisa Pili breaks career scoring record for Alaska Girl's Basketball

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Alaska has a new career record-holder in Girls Basketball.
Dimond's Alissa Pili became the All-time scoring leader after her team's contest against West Anchorage.
Pili came into this one only needing six points to match the previous record of 2,290 points.
Well, the five star recruit finished with 37 points to lead the Lynx to a 64-43 victory.
The senior now has 2,321 career points, and she still has 6 regular season games and possibly several postseason games to add to that total.
Our sister station down in Anchorage was able to catch up with the USC Commit after she set the record to talk about this historic achievement.
"The team joked around before the game, like, 'Oh we're just going to pass to Alissa so she can break the record. But I wasn't really focused on it during the game. It was just about the team and what was best for getting points up on the board. It was mostly about the team win. We just wanted to get redemption after losing to them our first game. I could care less about these records or whatever. I'm just glad we got the win today," said Pili.
