Dimond's Alissa Pili wins Maxpreps athlete of the year honor for second consecutive year

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - For the Second year in a row, Dimond Basket Star Alissa Pili has been named the MaxPreps female athlete of the year.
Pili just wrapped up her senior season with the Dimond Lynx, where she led them to their second consecutive State Championship. ​
The six footer has been successful in every sport she competed in as a high schooler, winning four State Volleyball Championships, four shotput titles, two in the Discus, and one state Wrestling Crown. ​
Make no mistake about it though, Basketball is where Pili shined the brightest. ​
She crossed 2,000 careeer points at the High School level this past season, and set the new scoring record for the 4A class with 2,614 career points. ​
Pili is a five star recruit and signed to join the USC Trojans in the fall. ​
She is the first female athlete to be named Maxpreps athlete of the year in two consecutive years since Olympic Swimmer Missy Franklin in 2011 and 2012. ​
