Coaches barred by superintendent after football training exercise results in student injuries

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) Fairbanks North Star Borough School District Superintendent Karen Gaborik announced that the seven assistant coaches that were involved in the West Valley football training incident have been barred from coaching for two years.

Some of the coaches came to the School Board meeting to express their thoughts on the decision and what happened on July 26.

This all comes after the West Valley Wolfpack team signed a petition to have their assistant coaches reinstated.

Only one coach was allowed back because he was not at the incident.
