FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Updated ASBN polls have been relased for the halfway point of the High School Football season.
We'll start with the poll that has the most impact on our interior teams, the combined Division 2 and 3 poll.
For the first time all season, there isn't one interior team in the combined poll.
The Soldotna Stars, who moved their record up to 3-1 with a win over the previously top ranked West Valley Wolfpack, are back in the spot they held in the preseason poll.
The undefeated Eagle River Wolves, who will play SoHi this weekend, are ranked second.
Third place belongs to the Division 3 Ketchikan Kings, who are the only undefeated team in that class at 3-0.
The Houston Hawks have moved up to #4 after defeating the reigning state runner-up Homer Mariners 59-0.
Palmer will round out the top 5 for this week, they had a bye week as they were originally scheduled to host Dimond.
This was the fourth week in a row that the number one team has changed.
The Past two weeks saw our interior teams hold the #1 spot before being knocked off by the reigning state champion Soldotna Stars.
Eielson, Lathrop, and West Valley were listed as receiving votes.
The Division 1 Poll once again has the Bartlett Golden Bears as the top team.
The Bears improved their perfect record to 4-0 after defeating the previously undefeated Colony Knights.
East is ranked second after defeating South Anchorage to improve to 3-1 overall.
Their only loss is to a team from Arizona.
Service has moved up to #3, they have won every game since their season-opening loss to West Valley to take a 3-1 record into this weekend's game against South.
Colony has slid down to #4 and West Anchorage will round out the top five.
Out of these five teams, only four have a winning record and no other teams were listed as receiving votes.
