Anton Martinsson named WCHA Goaltender of the Month

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Despite it being a bye week, one member of the Alaska Nanook Hockey team was able to earn Conference-wide recognition.
Anton Martinsson was honored as the WCHA's Goaltender of the Month.
Martinsson started between the pipes in 7 games for the Nooks in January, and earned a win in four of them.
He ranked in the top five nationally when it came to save percentage last month, finishing with a .948 percentage.
He also led the WCHA in saves with 202 and ranked third in goals against, averaging 1.59.
He also finished the month with two assists.
Martinsson and the rest of the Nooks will return to action this Friday and Saturday when they host the opening series of this year's Governor's Cup against the UAA Seawolves.
