Alaska Nanook Hockey team suffers sweep to Lake State

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Nanook Hockey team hosted the Lake Superior State Lakers in a WCHA Contest on Saturday.
This one did not go in favor of the Nooks, who fell 5-2.
Lake State jumped out to a two goal lead in the first period, but the Nanooks were able to tie it up with back to back goals at the end of that opening frame.
The Lakers were then able to snuff out any momentum that the Nooks built with two goals in the second period, and an empty netter in the third.
Special Teams once again sunk the Nanooks.
Four out of the five Laker goals were scored on Power plays.
Max Newton and Chris Jandric scored the goals for the Nanooks, who fall to 4-12-2 overall this year and 4-7-1 in conference play.
They'll be off until 2019 when they host Northern Michigan on January 4th and 5th.
