A moose was discovered that was taken down and consumed by a pack of wolves. Lee Williams, park manager of the Chena Lake Recreation Area, says the wolves appeared to move down the Chena River.

Williams says the trail along the Chena River is quiet and frequently traveled by animals. "Living on the edge of the wilderness as we do everywhere here in Alaska... always be aware, be on the lookout and make sure you're paying attention. Enjoy the encounters if you have them and be safe," said Wililams.
