FAIRBANKS, Alaska Two men were arrested for trying to rob a pair of women earlier this week.
On the evening of Tuesday, June 18th, the two women called the Fairbanks Emergency Communication Center, saying two men had tried to rob them at gunpoint while they were at Creamer's Dairy.
According to the Fairbanks Police Department, the women were sitting in their vehicle at Creamer's when two young men approached.
One of the men pointed a gun at them and demanded their bag.
After a brief struggle over the bag, the women were able to leave the scene.
Based on the description of the suspects and the vehicle they were driving, FPD officers and detectives were able to identify the suspects and make contact with them on Wednesday, June 19th.
The suspects were interviewed and subsequently arrested for Robbery in the 1st Degree.
In the course of the investigation, officers discovered that one of the suspects was also involved in a burglary that took place on June 12th, and several stolen items were recovered.
