Troopers arrest man on Eielson for alleged assault to woman, two children

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Alaska State Troopers arrested 31 year old Don Brown on Eielson Air Force Base Saturday night for allegedly assaulting a woman and two children, ages 10 and 13. Brown was said to be intoxicated when he came to the house, and the assault occurred soon after. According to charging documents, Brown repeatedly punched one of the children. He also punched the resident when she tried to leave to get help. Brown forced one of the children into the basement, where he retrieved a handgun and loaded a round into the chamber. Brown was stopped when the resident arrived with Brown's coworkers, who they took the handgun from him.

Brown was ultimately transported to Fairbanks Correctional Facility. According to the Eielson Public Affairs office there were no assault incidents involving an airman. Brown was charged with two counts of assault the third degree and three counts of assault in the fourth degree.
