FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The annual Holiday Marketplace was in its second day today.
The Carlson Center was packed for the second day of the Holiday Marketplace.
The event is described as a one stop shop for those looking to get their holiday shopping done early.
Event Coordinator Kourtney Shannon describes the event.
"We have over 175 vendors, with literally thousands of gift ideas. There's all different types of products; arts, crafts, food, healthcare, skin care, beauty, clothing, shoes. We've got a ton of great stuff," said Shannon.
A lot of the items are handmade from local artists.
Shannon says the event itself has been an annual affair for longer than the Carlson Center has been around, estimating this to be its 36th year running.
Tickets are five dollars at the door and children 12 and under are free.
The event runs through the weekend, opening at 11 AM Sunday and will include a visit from Santa on Sunday from 1 to 2 PM.
