ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Anchorage police say a man was shot and killed on the city's east side. Dispatchers shortly after 10:30 p.m. Monday took a call of shots fired on Taku Drive just south of the Glenn Highway. Responding officers found a man near the road who had been shot in the upper body. He was pronounced dead. The man's name and age were not immediately released.

On 4/8/19 at 1450 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence off Kimberly Lane in Soldotna to recover property. While at the residence, Troopers contacted Jennifer Louise Bishop, age 38 of Soldotna. During the investigation, Garret Len Bishop, age 28 of Palmer, was located hiding in a closet and ran from the house. He was located hiding a short distance away and arrested on outstanding warrants for Assault 1st degree Domestic Violence X2 and Assault 4th degree Domestic Violence X2. Jennifer Bishop was subsequently arrested for felony Hindering Prosecution 1st degree and Garret Bishop was also charged with Disorderly Conduct. Both were transported to Wildwood pretrial where Jennifer Bishop was remanded without bail and Garret Bishop was remanded with a $5,000 bail.
