Safeway grocery chain announces special hours for at risk individuals

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) Safeway of Alaska has announced that they will be having special hours to for at risk shoppers during ongoing concerns of the coronavirus.

The press release says that they will be reserving store hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-9 am for at risk shoppers such as the elderly, pregnant women and people with compromised immune systems or people who have been advised to avoid leaving home. During those hours, they are asking other shoppers to avoid the store.

The store did say however, that they won't be enforcing the system but rather that it would be on the honor system.
