One dead in motorcycle accident off Old Steese

FAIRBANKS, Alaska Alaska State Troopers received a report of a single vehicle crash on Old Steese Highway near Goldstream Road around 11:30 last night.

According to trooper dispatch, 38-year-old Alexander Holder of Fairbanks was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control and went into the trees. Holder was ejected into a creek.

Steese Fire Department attempted life saving measures but Holder was pronounced dead on the scene.

Holder's body was sent to Anchorage for an autopsy. Next of kin has notified.
