FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The City of North Pole has finally found its first baby born in the New Year.
Little Christian James Callahan is Tanya and her husband Ben Callahan's first child.
At first, Tanya didn't know about the New Year's Baby contest until her friend entered on her behalf.
She and Christian received a bag full goodies from the employees at North Pole City Hall, Eielson Maintenance Squadron Spouses, and Ruthe Sevy at Santa's Senior Center.
Now it's time to meet the newest addition to the North Pole area.
Tanya Callahan; New Mom, North Pole Resident>>: "He was born on January 3rd at 8:02 A-M at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital and he was six pounds, ten ounces and 19 inches long. Stole his dad's birthday. But I didn't know we even had a North Pole New Year's Baby and I didn't think he would be one of them. It was great, it was really unexpected."
