North Pole Transfer Site closed after hazardous liquid spill

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) UPDATE: The transfer site was reopened at around 3 p.m. this afternoon. The Borough confirmed that there was a hazardous liquid spilled and that it was serious and costly.

They are still investigating the incident to find if it was intentional or not and who is responsible.

We will update this story as more information becomes available.
