Murder suspect pleads not guilty for earlier charges

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - A man who plead not guilty to reckless endangerment and criminal mischief still faces murder charges.

Patrick Marsh was arrested last week in connection with a murder on Yankovich Road. He had been previously arrested on April 23rd for criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and violating his conditions of release.

At his hearing today he pleaded not guilty to the lesser charges. He will be arraigned for the murder charge at a later date.

According to charging documents, Marsh was staying at a house when he attacked the Monday night landlord, strangling and beating her. A home surveillance system captured the attack and then showed Marsh leaving in the victims Jeep. Troopers found the Jeep abandoned. Marsh was located and arrested early Friday morning after a trooper saw him walking down a street in North Pole.
