FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Alaska Mission of Mercy will host free dental services starting tomorrow.
On Friday, April 13th and Saturday, April 14th, the Carlson Center will be filled with dentists, technicians, and other volunteers ready to provide free dentistry.
Although, the event officially starts at 6 AM, doors will open at 4:30 for early risers.
Participants will have until 5 PM to take advantage of the first- come- first- serve free dental care.
Over 5 hundred volunteers will help treat up to 1 thousand patients - which is this year's goal.
Event Chair, Heather Willis, told us what services will be available.
Heather Willis; AKMOM, Event Chair>>: "What we offer is at least one dental procedure. That could be a dental cleaning, that could be an extraction of a tooth or a filling, we will be doing some limited root canals and for people who are missing one or two front teeth, we will offer very limited replacement teeth that will be removable."
