Mandatory Evacuation for Anderson/Kobe Subdivision due to wildland fire

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Denali Borough and Forestry has ordered a mandatory evacuation for Anderson/Kobe Subdivision due to a wildland fire.

The rest of the Anderson city is on level two notice, meaning to be prepared for evacuation. ​

Anderson/Kobe subdivision was told to evacuate to TriValley school. ​

If the city evacuates it will be to Nenana School.​

A separate announcement said there was a wildfire on the parks highway from milepost 283 to 285, and that motorists should be prepared to stop due to emergency vehicles being on the road.​

DOT urged drivers to call 511, or visit '511 alaska gov' for more information.​
