FAIRBANKS, Alaska Richard Hurst was arrested Saturday afternoon for first degree assault after charging documents say he attacked a victim with a box cutter.
The victim, John Logan, said they were going to Safeway on College Road to get a bottle of beer to share, when Hurst assaulted him for, "no reason."
Fairbanks Police Department said that they received multiple calls reporting that Hurst had slashed Logan on the neck at the College Road Safeway. Officers arrested the suspect and EMS transported Logan to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital with serious physical injury.
