Man accused of strangling mother, living with dead body pleads not guilty

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - A man who allegedly strangled his mother pleaded not guilty today in a video arraignment. George Tuukguq Rosa, age 34, is charged with first degree murder. According to charging documents he admitted to strangling his mother, Molly Rosa, age 70, and then living with the body for approximately six days.

Rosa was supposed to be arraigned Wednesday but refused to be transported. The judge rescheduled the arraignment for this morning, but Rosa again refused to attend, so the
judge set up a video arraignment for this afternoon.
