FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) Golden Valley Electric Association (GVEA) is making changes in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to a press release on their website, GVEA has closed their offices in Fairbanks, Delta and Nenana to the public until further notice.

They are asking anyone who needs to sign up, disconnect or work out account issues to call their offices during normal business hours.

Another change they have made is temporarily suspending service disconnects for non-payment, and suspending assessment of late fees. They are encouraging anyone who is struggling to pay to call the office and work out a payment arrangement.

Customers can pay their bills online, over the phone, at kiosks or by using drop boxes that GVEA has set up at their offices.
