Fairbanks man charged with kidnapping pleads not guilty

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - A Fairbanks man pleaded not guilty to multiple charges Wednesday, including assault and kidnapping. Daniel McKinney faces counts of kidnapping, burglary and multiple assault charges for an incident on the 8th of January.

McKinney allegedly broke into his ex–girlfriend's house, where he reportedly hit her boyfriend in the head with a gun. He then told her to get into the car or he would shoot the boyfriend. She was able to escape a short time later. The next day, police received a tip about his location and were able to arrest him without incident.
