The gallery showed a variety of different artworks from veterans living in the Fairbanks community.

Family, friends, veterans, artists and gallery visitors were all in attendance to celebrate their works.

Resident artist and former combat veteran Craig Buchanan says that experiencing serious situations in combat allowed him to see the rest of his life in a more carefree manner.

"That having being said, most of my artwork sort of surrounds where I want to be, where I'm going and what I want people to see about me as well." Said Buchanan

He hopes that people find joy in his art and that others around the community can express themselves in their own creative ways.
