Fairbanks Fire Department seeks public's help for information on structure fire

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) The Fairbanks Fire Department is seeking information on the Kendall Toyota structure fire that occurred this Thursday.

According to a FFD press release, an employee of the business called 911 to report the fire just before 6 p.m. When fire crews arrived, they saw people leaving the building and smoke was visible. Firefighters were able to contain the blaze after discovering a suspended lighting fixture was on fire. It was extinguished at 6:16 p.m.

No injuries have been reported and an investigation into what caused the fire is ongoing. Anyone with information on the blaze is asked to call the Fairbanks Deputy Fire Marshal's Office at (907) 450- 6614.
