Congressman Young's office accepting Alaskan veterans stories to preserve in history

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Congressman Don Young is looking for Alaskan veterans to tell their stories so they can be preserved for history. Young announced Wednesday that his office is partnering with the Library of Congress on the 'Veterans History Project'. The effort will collect first-hand accounts through audio and video recordings along with original photographs, letters, and diaries of veterans. Young's staff members will be conducting interviews with interested veterans and gold star families at his offices in Anchorage and Fairbanks. Any interested veterans or gold star families can contact Young's office at 271-5978 and DonYoungVetsProject@mail.house.gov to participate.
