Colder temperatures bring frost to the Interior

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Several areas around the Interior dipped below freezing last night, with a few spots even seeing frost.
The Goldstream Valley, Upper Salcha River, and the back side of Fort Wainwright all experienced colder temperatures, some of them in the low 30s.
Lead forecaster with the National Weather Service, Christopher Cox, explained that it's not that unusual in the Goldstream Valley to see weather like this.
“You can have frost pretty much any month of the year. It's a little unusual for the back side of Fort Wainwright and the Salcha area but yeah we did drop down into the low 30s and we actually had a couple upper 20s," he said.
But Cox reassures us that we should start to see warmer temperatures in the mid-70s in the coming days.
