Ramzi comes from diverse background of applied communication. His B.A. is in Mass Communication with a concentration on production for radio and television. His M.A. is in Professional Communication and Rhetoric. He has published two academic works, one of which was a sexual health communication paper presented at the National Communication Association conference in 2018. His master’s thesis examined the 2011 Arab Spring events, and more broadly whether or not decentralized, leaderless movements can fully become revolutions.

Ramzi has worked in academia, advertising, audio/video production, and now in journalism. He has lived in half a dozen countries and multiple states. His interest in applied communication revolves around the breakdown of communication between people and in groupthink.

As a journalist, his M.O. involves fully informing himself about a topic before broadcasting it. Where an audience might see a condensed two minutes of coverage, Ramzi has done his due diligence by pestering his interview subjects and taking up too much of their time to get the fullest picture he can.

His coverage includes DOT, health, and city legislature; however, his interests include state and national politics, crime, food, art, and science.
