Katie Luper joined the KTVF team in March 2014 as a multimedia journalist and news anchor.
She received awards from the Alaska Broadcasters Association for her reporting and commercial production. Her work took first place in the International District Energy video competition, a head to head competition with universities as prestigious as Stanford and Duke. In Katie’s senior year of college at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks she was selected as the journalism “student of the year.”
She’s covered some of Alaska's premier events, such as the Yukon Quest International Dog Sled Race, the International Piano-e-Competition and the Fairbanks portions of the Iron Dog, the world's longest snowmobile race.
Katie grew up watching the Fairbanks Evening News and is thrilled to be a part of such an inspiring and energetic news team in her hometown.
