That player is Zoey Keene from the South Anchroage Wolverines, as the senior has commited to play for the Nooks starting in the 2018 season.
Keene is a 5'10'' setter and captain, and led the Wolverines to a fourth place finish in the highly contested Cook Inlet Conference.
She was named to the All-Cook Inlet Conference team, with 854 assists, 157 kills, 211 digs, and 72 aces.
What makes it a nice story is that Keene was ranked the 6th best player in the state, which is exciting for the Nanooks to retain a talent in Alaska.
Head Coach of Alaska Brian Scott spoke about Keene saying, "Zoey is a top tier athlete from Alaska.
She is a multi sport athlete who received offers for both volleyball and track and field.
In volleyball, she has played multiple positions and excelled at them.
We feel very fortunate to add her to our volleyball family.
We had her in a summer camp this year, and her hard work and competitiveness made her a standout.
It didn't take long to realize she was someone we wanted in our gym."
