Registration Officially Open For Two River's 100 and 200 Sled Dog Races

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Registration has opened for the 200 and 100 sled dog races in Two Rivers. The races are being run by the Two Rivers Dog Mushers Association, and teams can sign up on www.t-r-d-m-a.info.
The 100 mile race will start from the Chatanika Lodge, which is 27 Mile Steese Highway, with a checkpoint at the Two Rivers Lodge, and the finish line at the Pleasant Valley Store.
For the 200 mile race, the checkpoints are at the Two Rivers Lodge, Pleasant Valley Store, and the Angel Creek Lodge.
The teams will then head back towards the Pleasant Valley Store for the finish line.
The race will begin at noon on January 19th from the Chatanika Lodge.
The 100 mile race slots have filled up, but the 200 mile race has over 20 spots open.
One of those competing in the 200 mile race is Lance Mackey, a four time champion of both the Yukon Quest International and the Iditarod.
